About

Conviction is a private voice journal for people who already have a therapist or coach — or who journal on their own and refuse a blank page, a streak counter, a subscription, or a cloud model reading the diary.

This page exists so you can see who ships the product, what we claim, and what we will not pretend to be.

Who is writing

I am Phillip Paul, independent developer of Conviction (Seller on the App Store). I live in Berlin. Legal form: Einzelunternehmen. Contact: support@tryconviction.com.

I am not a therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or coach. There is no “Conviction Team of clinicians.” There is no medical reviewer. I build software. The expertise I can stand behind is the architecture you can verify on a phone: on-device processing, no account, airplane mode, a one-time Pro price, iPhone 15 Pro or later.

What Conviction is not

How we write

Blog posts are written from the product we ship and from published sources we can link (Beck Institute, Linehan / Behavioral Tech, APA, Pennebaker). Citing a clinic is not the same as being that clinic. Composite “Jordan’s therapist handed her a worksheet” stories are illustrations when they appear; they are not case studies.

If a URL cannot teach a real journaling job for this audience without impersonating a treatment guide, it should not rank. That is a site-quality choice, not a keyword strategy.
